History of Skydeck Chicago
The Willis Tower was completed in 1973 and held the title of the tallest building in the world for nearly 25 years. Originally built for Sears, Roebuck & Co., it was renamed the Willis Tower in 2009. In 2009, the Skydeck underwent major renovations, including the addition of “The Ledge,” a series of glass boxes that allow visitors to step out and look straight down over the streets of Chicago. This transformation made it one of the most visited attractions in the Midwest. Click here to read about the Millennium Park, Chicago, IL
